Once known as the “Spanish King of Beauty 2010” and one of the world’s hottest former male models, Manuel Rico is now undergoing an internship in Chile to become a gynecologist. Apparently once the news got around town, the ladies were quite literally lining up at his surgery door for an appointment with him.
Born in Spain, 24-year-old Rico has studied for his medical degree at Córdoba University. In late September, 2013, Rico left Spain for Chile’s shores and traveled to Concepción to complete an internship in gynecology at the University and Regional Hospital (UdeC ) in that city.

What really gets the ladies going, however, is not just his impressively good looks. Even the name Rico, in the Spanish language, means “rich” or “delicious.”
However, despite all that, all the good doctor wants these days is to be taken seriously and carry on with this chosen career.
When Rico first arrived at the hospital in Concepción, a press conference was reportedly held, followed by the news and photos which immediately hit the local media. This was immediately followed by a viral photographic outbreak on Spanish language social media.
By treating him as a bit of a celebrity, the news really made the rounds pretty swiftly with the ladies, thus resulting in the lines of endless potential patients at his surgery door.
The online side of things is also having its day, of course, with Buzzfeed, for instance, referring to Rico as the “REAL Dr McDreamy” (offering just a little nudge to the popular TV series Grey’s Anatomy, of course). In other words the hospital in Concepción has the hottest gynecologist in the form of a former Spanish male model.

While it can be great for a guy to be a handsome celebrity and have the ladies lining up for his attentions, Rico is reportedly rather fed up with the whole “pretty boy” scenario and just wants to be taken more seriously. He really intends to focus on his medical career and get ahead in his chosen field.
In fact, when interviewed by the Spanish ABC newspaper, he told them that he would much prefer to be anonymous, stating that while his modeling career was a great experience, he really doesn’t want to have any more to do with it. He says he is now on a completely different stage in life and his “Spanish King of Beauty” award is now four years old and in the past.
The whole thing does beg the question though. Would all women prefer to have a gynecologist who is so darn attractive?
Antonio Navas, born in 1990, in Barcelona, Spain, is a Spanish model.
When an innocent Navas was handing out flyers on a busy street in central Barcelona in 2009, he was approached by a New York photographer asking him if he would please come join him and his colleagues for a drink, to talk about the possibility of him to go to New York and sign with a model agency there.
Navas who at that time never even thought one second about the possiblity of modelling told his mom about this encounter. She told him to go to the best model agency for male models: "Sight Management", and see whether there was a chance of him becoming a model. There they took a good look at him, took some polaroids of his face and body and sent them out to potential clients and with success, a few days later he was on a plane for his first job as a model.
Came 2010, numerous campaigns, catwalks and editorials further and he received his first award: The "GQ Model of the Year Award".
Antonio has fronted campaigns for "DSquared", "Guess", "Zenga Sport"; was featured in an editorial for "V Magazine" and "GQ"; and walked the runway for "Louis Vuitton".
Continuing on my gonzo-list kick, I enlisted the aid of my good buddy Jeff, a model-industry insider and a man of great taste, for help in compiling this tally of the most incredible-looking male models from throughout history. (The cavemen didn't have much call for male models, so I think we went as far back as the 1970s.)
Some of these guys are icons, some supermodels, some mere posers with faces only a mother superior couldn't looove. The common denominator is that they're stunning and that the history of modeling—runway, print, fitness or even neo-Web entrepreneurial—would not be the same without them. Purists be damned!

A Midwesterner born and bred, O'Connell initially pursued a career in the fitness industry before becoming an in-demand poser who's worked for everyone from Hanes and Jockey (guess why?) to A&F. His dream of being an actor may be coming true—as recently as last week, he was working with Tyler Perry on a new TV show for Oprah's OWN. I wonder if the working title is Madea Goes Down?

"The best thing about being me is, uh...I would say nothing, would be the first thing...Getting to come home to my dog Gunner."
This Spanish-born model with a lean body of death is famous for his work with Armani, and has darkened many a runway with his smile-free countenance.

Are you as Swede on Alex Lundqvist as I am? This familiar and handsome face has been modeling for almost 30 years, ever since being shot by Bruce Weber right after his discovery. Baby steps. Success runs in the family—his brother is pro paintballer (I know...people do that for a living?) Maximus Lundqvist.
He's also done a little acting, if that's what it's called when one looks gorgeous in music videos, such as this co-starring role with Fergie:

This Brazilian bombshell has been a D&G favorite, has worked for Armani Exchange and fronted a spring campaign for Bottega Veneta. He was discovered by two men while riding a bus at age 17, the kind of encounter that either leads to worldwide fame and fortune, a brief but unhappy career in porn or a below-the-radar residency in a makeshift grave somewhere. Happily, it was the famous outcome for Cuhna, who has spent most of his career naked or next to it. He told New York Magazine:
"Well, if that were to make me uncomfortable, I would have stopped doing this because they always fucking put me in underwear. It's cool, though, I'm used to it."
